 | Compliance Advisory Services began operation April 15, 1989 at the request of the member cooperatives of Cooperative Producers Inc. (C.P.I.) of Hastings, Nebraska and Nebraska-Iowa-Kansas Non-Stock Marketing Group (N.I.K.) of Kearney, Nebraska. These two organizations invested equally in starting our company and currently share in the capital stock ownership.
Compliance Advisory Services (CAS) was organized for the purpose of providing consulting and advisory services regarding local, state and federal regulations along with enhancing the general safety of employees and customers for our clients. Our advisory services have addressed issues regarding both state and federal environmental regulations, state and federal workplace safety, and regulations for both interstate and intrastate transportation of commodities including hazardous materials. We have developed several employee training programs to meet state or federal regulatory requirements and also to enhance employee and customer safety. We have also been involved in the development of general operating procedures and policies as needed or requested by grain handling and agricultural supply dealers. We conduct training programs for local fire and emergency response personnel in the areas of response procedures to anhydrous ammonia incidents, response procedures to propane emergencies and basic response information for rescue from entrapment/engulfment scenarios. |
